About Lamai Beach

Lamai Beach is Koh Samui's second-most famous beach, stretching about 4 kilometres along the island's south-east coast. It's known for its beautiful crescent shape, golden sand, and generally calmer, more relaxed atmosphere compared to busy Chaweng. The beach is excellent for swimming year-round, and the northern end is popular for water sports including jet skis, kayaks, and paddle boards. The surrounding area has a good mix of beachfront restaurants, massage huts, and beach bars with a less hectic feel than Chaweng. The southern end near the famous rocks has particularly beautiful scenery. Sunsets here are spectacular.
