Karon Beach is one of Phuket's most underrated gems — Phuket's third-longest beach at nearly 3 km, offering a perfect balance between facilities and tranquility. Located between Patong and Kata on Phuket's southwest coast, Karon is far less crowded than Patong yet more lively than the quieter southern beaches. The beach is famous for its fine, squeaky white sand — a distinctive characteristic caused by the unique silica content — and crystal-clear Andaman Sea waters. A scenic freshwater lake (Karon Lake) sits just behind the beach, surrounded by lush greenery and providing a beautiful backdrop.
