Ayutthaya Floating & Night Market

The Ayutthaya night market scene has blossomed in recent years, with the most popular being the riverside market near the Pridi Damrong Bridge that operates Thursday through Sunday evenings. The market stretches along the riverbank and features dozens of stalls selling authentic central Thai street food — boat noodles (a local Ayutthaya speciality), grilled meats, fresh fruit, traditional desserts, and the famous Roti Sai Mai (cotton candy roti unique to Ayutthaya). Local craft stalls sell historical-themed souvenirs, ceramics, and handmade goods. The setting, with the river and illuminated bridges in the background and the general festive atmosphere, makes for a wonderful evening conclusion to a day exploring the temples. The Friday–Sunday Ayutthaya Weekend Walking Street is particularly popular.
